Prof. Dr. Christof Obermann has been dedicated to the further development of the AC method for over 15 years. After studying Business Psychology in Frankfurt Main, Mannheim and Berkeley, California, he completed his doctoral dissertation at the University of Bochum on the subject of assessment centers. From 1989 to 1996 he worked for Kienbaum Management Consultants. In his final position as a partner, he established a consultancy division for management diagnostics. In 1997 he founded his own business as Obermann Consulting. In 2009 he was named as professor by the Minister of Education, Land Nordrhein-Westfalen.
He is the editor and author of numerous publications on the subject of AC. At the age of 27, he developed the first AC business game which was released by the academic publishing house Hogrefe. He is a member of the German AC research group (Arbeitskreis AC e.V.) and lectures at different universities. He is the author of the leading German textbook Assessment Center, which is now in its 4th edition.
His scholarly interest is focused on the ongoing development of AC and international applications.
