Company history

Prof. Dr. Christof Obermann founded the individual enterprise in 1996, after establishing the assessment center and development department in another consulting company. Now, Prof. Dr. Obermann works in teaching and research as a professor and the company has existed for almost 20 years of a broad team.

Assessment & Development

Obermann Consulting GmbH is a team that consists mainly of business psychologists. Historically, our background lies within management audit, assessment- and development center. The focus has shifted since the founding years towards the development of specialist employees and managers and the support for innovative HR-processes. Due to our long-lasting presence on the market, we have established a broad experience background in various organizations (enterprises, public institutions, medium-sized businesses).

How we work

Two professors and a number of colleagues holding a doctoral degree express our claim for scientific foundations. Structure and repeatability are important for us. This manifests in us driving a number of topics within our field, our publications and in the DIN-33430 certifications held by most of our consultants.

Our tasks are the assessment and development of managerial behavior, in which we want to be role-models as well. This implies that we set ourselves challenging goals and treat our audit and coaching participants as equals.

Process expertise

In our opinion, perceived quality is not caused by „genius“ consultants but by process expertise. We listen actively during contract clarifications. Other contributions to our process expertise are our structured approach, standardization and internal qualifications and certifications. This enables us to successfully conduct assessment and qualification projects even with a great number of participants.
